Lorraine and I are doing this one Bonnie Hunter's mystery for 2012... Anne wouldn't get involved lol... Too many unfinished projects. Fabric choice was the first exciting step. Lorraine and I sent messages back and forth whilst shopping the stash- I then did a spotty run and got some blues....You can see the steps I've already completed as well. step 1 was the 4 patch...easy enough. Step 2 - flying geese.... Ugh. Step 3 shaded 4 patches, easy thanks to a tutorial put on to the Flickr group but are Yet to be completed as Christmas Quilts are taking a small priority. The fabric choices though are photographed below. Step 4 needs to be cut but involves more of the damn birds.
June 21 2015: So I got to the step above and then I shelved this project, it had been a challenge. Then one day I got it out again in 2014 and was determined to finish it. So you can see below it coming together and then the finished flimsy on my queen sized bed.
It is yet to be quilted but will be sent off to my quilter Sharon to do this monster.
